Meet Dr. Jo, Where Research Gets Personal

Dr. Jo Okurame is an award-winning researcher, entrepreneur, speaker, and digital creator with a knack for making big ideas feel refreshingly doable. Whether she is decoding data, designing AI training for overwhelmed business owners, or delivering keynotes on purpose-driven careers, her mission is clear: to make knowledge practical and purpose personal.

With a background in biomedical sciences and public health and academic training in epidemiology and biostatistics, Jo holds 4 university degrees, including a Bachelor’s and 3 postgraduate qualifications, capped by a PhD. These credentials don’t define her they are the result of deep curiosity, relentless focus, and proof that when she sets her mind to something, she makes it happen.

What those degrees unlocked, beyond theory and certificates, was a surprising passion for education and software. Her foundation in biostats and quantitative research quietly sparked a love for systems, automation, and tools that solve real problems. So when AI surged onto the scene, she leaned in. not just to understand it, but to master it and simplify it for others. Through specialised training, she has uncovered practical ways AI can relieve business owners of repetitive tasks and give them back their most precious asset: time.

That clarity became even more personal when Jo became a mother. Watching her children grow and realising how quickly time passes ignited a deeper conviction: success means little if it costs you presence. That was the turning point, the moment she chose to walk away from the comfort (and limits) of a high-paying career built for survival, and into a purpose-led life designed for legacy.

Now, as a serial entrepreneur, she runs a thriving food business in Australia, an AI-Driven Business Optimisation Service and a research-backed relationship and connection platform. Her career spans digital content, academic leadership, and entrepreneurial innovation all fuelled by a desire to help people do more with less, without sacrificing their wellbeing or sense of self. Dr. Jo brings heart, humour, and real-world tools to every room she steps into.

"A life that looks good on paper means little if it feels empty in person..." Dr. Jo
